The object of the December photo is the schooner Linden here seen anchored in Östrahamnen (the East Harbour) of Mariehamn, Åland. Linden is a replica of a ship originally built in 1920. The photo is from 18 December of this year. So far this winter has offered low temperatures, plenty of snow and a couple of really nice sunny days.
About the Photo and the Photograher Susanna Dahlblom (text by Susanna herself):
I took the photo of the Schooner Linden when a friend and me were out for a walk in the harbor. We strolled about in the mid-winter sun and took photos, at first this was just one among many photos… But later I fell for this one. The picture was shot with a Sony A350 and Carl Zeiss 18-200mm zoom lens.I have been a doing photography for four years and I take it quite seriously. I use a Sony A350 with accompanying Carl Zeiss 18-200mm and Tamron 90mm Macro 2:8 zoom lenses.
